Miranda is a member of the New Mexico State University Delta Gamma sorority, serving as the chapter president. In previous years of membership, she has fulfilled positions as vice president of programming and director of primary recruitment. Furthermore, she has served on the NMSU College Panhellenic Council as Vice President of Internal Recruitment and Vice President of Programming.

This marks Romero’s fourth year as a sports intern for the NMSU Athletic Marketing Department.  Working closely with other marketing facility and NMSU Athletic Director, Mario Moccia, Miranda works both women and men collegiate sports, including football, basketball, soccer, and baseball.

Miranda also dedicates time working within the NSMU Journalism and Media college. In recent years, Miranda has worked on furthering her skill and knowledge both in the newsroom and when it comes to working in sports. She prides herself on her interview and player affair skills, as well as on-camera communication presence.

As a 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame summer intern, she worked internally with the Hall of Famer Relations and Volunteer Management departments. Her responsibilities included planning for in-residence programming for previous enshrines, communicating and leading the new 2024 Enshrine class and returning hall of farmers during Enshrinement weekend, and organizing all credential creation and distribution. Working at the NFL Awards of Excellence, being a guide for two Make-a-Wish visits during the Enshrinement festival, and helping facilitate behind-the-scenes tours for visiting NFL teams were only a few tasks she accomplished during the internship.

During summer of 2023, Miranda relocated to Daytona Beach, Fl, where she worked as a marketing intern for NASCAR Motorsports. Working both on the sports side and also very close with The NASCAR Foundation, Miranda received exposure to all areas of Public Relations, Social Media, and Communication Marketing in the world of professional sports.

A personal interest of Miranda’s, includes health and fitness. Not only as someone who has competed herself in a bodybuilding competition, but working in a gym for the past 3-years.

Beginning her career at Bionic Barbell, a local gym in Las Cruces working at the front desk, then being promoted to Social Media and Marketing Manager, she has learned how market a brand to a community audience like Las Cruces. Overseeing partnerships with local companies and collaboration events, including pop-ups, gym promotions, and community exposure, she has been able to navigate failures and successes when it comes to promoting a brand.

Whether on the sidelines in the arena, 50-yard line on the field, or in the pit for a tire change, Miranda is eager to continue to gain knowledge in all sports and be a well-rounded media professional.
